What is Moroccan Ras el Hanout’s flavour profile?
Made from a delicate blend of 14 herbs and spices, Ras el Hanout’s flavour is indicative of Moroccan cooking – sweet, spicy, savoury, and fragrant. The sweetness from nutmeg, cassia, sweet paprika, and allspice; Savouriness from sea salt, fennel, caraway, and cumin; Warmth from cayenne, turmeric, galangal, and ginger, and a herby fragrance from coriander. This blend is mild in heat, however, can be made hotter with the addition of some extra Cayenne Pepper or Crushed Chilli Flakes.
