The love this recipe
This recipe is a take on a traditional Mexican Adobo marinade using orange juice and our authentic Mexican Adobo Seasoning.
I marinate the prawns briefly then place them on the BBQ until they’re nice and charred on the outside, and tender and just-cooked on the inside. Served with zesty lime mayo and your choice of side, this is the perfect addition to your next BBQ or dinner party!
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the Adobo seasoning, a good glug of olive oil, and the juice of your orange and stir to combine. Add in your prawns and toss to coat in the marinade – set aside for about 10 minutes to allow the marinade to begin to seep in.
- Turn your BBQ grill, or griddle pan, onto high. When hot, place your prawns on and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until the outer crust is nice and charred, and the inside is opaque and cooked through. Remove and allow to rest for a couple of minutes.
- While the prawns rest, combine your mayo and lime and give a good mix. Serve your prawns with the lime mayo and enjoy!
