Pomegranate and Rose Cocktails

Ingredients

Brown sugar syrup

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp hot water

Cocktails

1 cup(250ml) chilled semi-sweet rosé wine

1 cup(250ml) pomegranate juice

½- ¾ tsp rosewater (to taste)

Ice cubes

The Spice People Rose Petals, for garnish

Optional, to serve

½ cup soda water, to top up

2 sprigs rosemary

Directions

Make the brown sugar syrup, place the brown sugar and water in a small bowl and stir until the sugar has fully dissolved. Set aside.

To make the cocktails, fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the rosé wine, pomegranate juice, rosewater and brown sugar syrup. Shake gently for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and combined. Strain into chilled glasses filled with fresh ice.
